Driver leads police on chase in Henrico’s East End

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- A driver was arrested after he led Henrico Police on a short chase Sunday night, according to police. When officers tried to stop the man for a minor traffic violation on Oakland Road in the East End, he drove off, police said.

The car eventually crashed in the 1100 block of Elmshadow Drive. The driver ran off on foot, but was caught a short time later. Police said charges were pending.

The incident happened about 10:15 Sunday night.
